SaoPiao Privacy Policy
Last updated:October 8, 2026
English
SaoPiao (the "App") is developed by Anderson Hu ("we"). This policy explains how the App handles your data.
1. Summary
- Invoice data you scan is stored only on your device. We do not collect, upload, or keep any invoice data.
- The App has no accounts and no servers of its own.
- The "Look up store names" feature sends only the seller's tax ID to a Ministry of Finance open-data service, and can be turned off in Settings (see section 4).
- The App is free and supported by Google AdMob ads, which may collect some device data (see section 5).
2. Camera
The camera is used to recognize QR codes on Taiwan e-invoices in real time. Images are processed on the device only and are never photographed, recorded, stored, or transmitted. You can turn off camera access in iOS Settings at any time.
3. Invoice data
Parsed invoice numbers, dates, amounts, tax IDs, and line items are stored in the App's data on your device and are not accessible to us. Files leave the App only when you choose to export and share them via the iOS share sheet, to recipients you choose. You can delete individual invoices or batches in the App; deleting the App removes all of its data.
4. Store name lookup
To show store names and addresses in the list and exported files, the App queries the seller's tax ID against the Ministry of Finance business (tax) registration open API. Only the seller's tax ID (public registration data) and the network information inherent to any connection, such as your IP address, are sent. Invoice numbers, dates, amounts, items, and buyer tax IDs are never sent. Results are cached on your device. You can turn this off in the App under Settings → Look up store names.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses Google AdMob to show ads. Google and its partners may collect and use device identifiers (IDFA, only if you allow tracking; IDFV), approximate location derived from IP address, ad interaction data, and diagnostic data to provide, measure, and improve ads.
iOS asks for your permission to track when you first open the App. If you decline, IDFA is not used and ads may be less relevant. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland will see Google's consent form and can revisit their choice in the App under Settings → Ad Privacy Options.
See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
6. What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your invoice data.
- We do not use our own analytics or tracking tools.
- We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or other personal information.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes
We will update this page and the effective date above if this policy changes.
